PRESS RELEASE

SEA Milan Airports, manager of Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports, and SEA Prime, Italy’s leading Business&General Aviation airport manager and one of Europe’s leaders with the Milano Prime brand, inaugurates today the new wing of the Milano Linate Prime Terminal, with new passenger lounge areas and expanded parking area.

PrimeThe project, launched in December 2024, introduces more comfortable and functional spaces for passengers and crew, with separate flows and greater privacy.

The expansion is part of SEA Prime’s growth strategy, which in 2025 managed 35,900 business aviation movements, an increase of 7% at Milano Linate Prime compared to 2024 and one of the highest growth rates in Europe.

In the early months of 2026, driven also by the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, traffic has accelerated its growth trend to 13.5% as compared to 2025, with peaks of over 130 movements per day.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by leading business aviation operators, representatives of local institutions and airport authorities, and featured an inspirational speech by Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic guest stars Davide Ghiotto speed skating gold medalist and Federico Tomasoni, silver medal ski cross.

Nine glass-walled lounges overlooking the apron and landside have been created in the new wing for a total of 2,000 square meters. The lounges have been assigned to leading Italian and international business aviation operators, who will customize them according to their own architectural and service standards.

OpeningThe project involved the restyling of existing infrastructures, creating new spaces and widening the entrances for improved accessibility.

The airside and landside façades feature a corrugated metal surface, designed to increase brightness and blend harmoniously with the environment.

The main hall of the new wing welcomes guests with a large skylight and a custom-made polygonal concierge desk; the materials used recall distinctive elements of Milanese architecture, such as “ceppo di grè” for the flooring.

From an environmental point of view, the new wing has been designed with a strong focus on sustainability: the project has revitalized existing structures – including an aircraft hangar – integrating them with high-efficiency systems, photovoltaic panels, low-impact air conditioning, and an air management system that monitors CO₂ levels to optimize air circulation.

The project, entirely financed by the SEA Group, was carried out by the RTI led by Gencantieri and CEFLA Società Cooperativa, and designed by the architectural firms SAB, CREW and Incide.

“The new business aviation terminal at Linate Airport, built by SEA Prime, serves a constantly expanding segment of air transport,” said ENAC President Pierluigi Di Palma.

“It is part of the development of a strategic segment of the new air mobility program promoted by ENAC, aimed at strengthening the network of air-to-air connections and generating significant economic benefits for the region. This will be done in full compliance with environmental sustainability standards, including the transformation of the airports into multifunctional hubs that integrate air transport services with ancillary activities and advanced hospitality services. In this context, the new area of the Milan Linate Prime airport will ensure high standards of efficiency and comfort for passengers.”

“With the inauguration of the new Milan Linate Prime terminal, we confirm the SEA Group’s commitment to infrastructure development and strengthening the competitiveness of the Milan airport system, further consolidating our position in the highly strategic business aviation segment,” said Armando Brunini, CEO and General Manager of SEA.

“This project is an integral part of our industrial vision: investing in quality, innovation, and sustainability to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the region.”

“The inauguration of the new Linate Prime Terminal in the year of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, which follows the restyling work carried out at Linate Prime for EXPO2015, the building of two new hangars and the opening of the Malpensa Prime terminal, confirms our commitment to meeting the growing demand for high standard business aviation services and infrastructures, consolidating the role of Milano Prime as a privileged gateway to Milan and Lombardy” said Chiara Dorigotti, CEO and General Manager of SEA Prime.
