Methodology

For the 36th year, Pro Pilot has asked corporate turbine aircraft owners and operators to rate the quality of aftersale service provided by business aircraft OEMs. Both electronic and paper forms have been used for this purpose. For the past 25 years, the form has listed the following categories for both jet and TP divisions – company response time, spares availability, cost of parts, speed in AOG service, tech manuals, tech reps, and service satisfaction.

During Mar 2026, a targeted mailing of 5056 survey forms was sent to a random selection of corporate aircraft operators from the Pro Pilot subscription list, plus an additional turbine aircraft operators list. A total of 1095 survey forms, representing a 21.7% return, came back to our research department by the Jul 27 cutoff date. A total of 921 survey forms were accepted as being properly filled out, providing 1123 line evaluations – 913 for the jet division and 210 for the TP section. A total of 174 forms were disqualified due to inconsistencies, errors, duplications, or lateness.

Pro Pilot rules require a minimum of 100 line evaluations to qualify for ranking in the jet division. A total of 5 manufacturers met the criteria – Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Textron (Beechjet, Citation, and Hawker). Six other manufacturers received insufficient evaluations to rank in the jet division – Airbus (6), Boeing (10), Cirrus (3), Eclipse (1), HondaJet (2), and Pilatus (13).

In the TP division, the minimum requirement to rank in the survey is 35 responses. A total of 3 aircraft OEMs met the criteria – Daher, Pilatus, and Textron (Caravan, Conquest, and King Air). Manufacturers that did not meet the criteria were Aero Commander (1), de Havilland (1), Fairchild/Swearingen (1), Mitsubishi (1), Piaggio (5), and
Piper (16).

Survey respondents were asked to rate corporate aircraft OEMs on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent) within each of the 7 categories. Conklin & de Decker, a JSSI company, acted as research agent for this survey and performed the independent data analysis.
